A new board member is being sought for Ellon Castle Garden.
The vacancy has arisen as the so-called jewel in the local crown moves into an exciting year of restoration.

Ellon Castle Garden Company chairman Alan Cameron said they were seeking to add to the board after a member resigned due to work commitments.
The company was established to develop and conserve the garden as a resource for the community and as a tourist attraction for the town.
The historic site was officially handed over to the local community last summer and efforts are under way to return the grounds to their former glory.
Site owners Scotia Homes and Barratt Homes handed over the keys to the community at a ceremony in the gardens last June.
The presentation was described as a landmark stage of what would be a great asset to the town, a tourism attraction and something that would have a spin-off for local businesses.
Ellon Castle Garden Company organised a series of events which would involve the public in the ambitious project.
A volunteer day was held in September when a variety of basic task were carried out including gardening and tidying up.
An open day for the public was also organised when visitors were shown around the gardens in accompanied tours which gave information on their history as well as plans for future restoration.
Mr Cameron said they were looking forward to a busy year as the restoration programme gathers pace.
He added: “I am sure that the opportunity to serve on the Ellon Castle Garden Board will be exciting, as taking part in this very special project will impact on the economic future of Ellon.”
A new gardener, Catriona Robertson, will begin work on March 1.
Plans for the site include restoring original features such as the sundial, fountain and footpaths.
The grounds contain one of the country’s largest collections of yew trees.
Mr Cameron explained: “A lot of work has been done on the yew trees.
“We are looking forward to the new gardener starting and it promises to be tremendous year for the gardens.”
