North East Liberal Democrat MSP Alison McInnes has urged people affected by the recent floods to apply to a recovery appeal fund for support.
Foundation Scotland launched its appeal on January 8 in response to some of the worst flood damage seen in Scotland for a century.
The fund total has now reached £300,000 thanks to the generous support of the public, businesses and funders.
Funding is now available to directly support individuals and families affected, as well as community organisations who have been working hard to provide services in many areas.
Mrs McInnes said: “It is important that those who suffered during the floods are given as much help as possible to get back on their feet.
“Individuals and organisations can apply to the appeal in addition to claiming the £1500 available from the Scottish Government via the local authority.
“People can apply via the website www.foundationscotland.org.uk. As well as a short online application people will also find helpful guidelines. Alternatively you can phone the grants team directly on 0141 341 4960.”
