The funeral of Ellon football coach Kevin Bartlet will be held tomorrow (Friday).
A celebration of his life to which all are welcome will take place at Ellon Parish Church at 11am.
Mr Bartlet’s body was found on Tuesday, September 15, at Tyrie, near Fraserburgh, the day after he was reported missing from home.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
The 32-year-old was an IT analyst at Ellon Academy, where he was a former pupil and a popular coach of the school football team.
He was also a coach at Ellon Meadows and held the post of president of Aberdeenshire Schools Football Association.
Mr Bartlet was a regular contributor to the Ellon Times on the local juvenile scene involving teams from Ellon Meadows FC.
He was also a staunch fan of Aberdeen FC and his family say they will welcome red tops and ties at tomorrow’s service.
Tributes to Mr Bartlet’s contribution to sport in Ellon have been widely paid in the town.
His family also say floral tributes or donations towards Scoliosis Research will be accepted at the service.
