Green fingered help
Disability charity Momentum Skills, staged their first ever Gardeners Question Time in Inverurie Town Hall last Wednesday evening.
On the panel were Beechgrove Garden presenters Jim McColl and Carole Baxter along with locally based horticultural advisor and soft fruit specialist, Colin Stirling.
The evening was hosted by STV news presenter Chris Harvey.
Momentum Fundraiser Michael Jamieson said: “The evening went extremely well, and the near capacity audience had so many questions for the panel, we actually over-ran by about 15 minutes. The expert panel were in great form, not only answering questions in an informative way, but in an entertaining way too.
“Chris did a fantastic job in compering the evening and also told the audience about some of the work that Momentum does locally. I’m most grateful to Jim, Carole, Colin and Chris for giving their time and expertise to help raise funds to support the continuing work of Momentum in the North East.
“I would also like to thank all the volunteers that helped on the night with selling raffles and serving the teas during the interval. Finally, my thanks must go to all those who supported our event. Their attendance was much appreciated.”
Momentum is a leading not-for-profit organisation providing rehabilitation, training and care services for disabled and socially excluded people in Aberdeen and North East at their Centre in Migvie House, Aberdeen.
