Inverurie Musical Gala Fun-Day

Inverurie Events, together with Chalmers Mackay Music School, are staging a special day of musical entertainment at the Market Green on Sunday, June 17.

Opened by a mystery guest, the event will run from 11 am to 5pm and will be compered by NorthSound Radio’s Cammy Campbell, who will be joined by two budding young MC’s from Inverurie Academy – Andrew O’Rourke and Kieren Buxton.

Inverurie Academy’s Celtacad will be first on Stage followed by students from Garioch Music school who will present some of their young singers and instrumentalists. Rock Band Big Riff Manifesto will be on stage in the afternoon with ‘Expressions’ dance group to follow before Chalmers Mackay Music School tutors’ band ‘Intuition’ will perform their own brand of rock music. The Garioch Fiddlers will continue with some Scottish traditional and ceilidh tunes, preceded by the closing act, local band Julson, who are putting on a special performance.

Sound System and engineering will be provided by Sandy Mackay from Chalmers Mackay and there will be impromptu performances by various solo singers between acts.

The emphasis is on fun and enjoyment with stalls and other entertainment.
