At a recent meeting of The Rotary Club of Kintore, members went back to basics with some expert tips from experienced driving instructor, Bob Gray.
After explaining the history of the driving test, Bob tested members on their knowledge of road signs. Relieved Rotary members seemed to know them and rose to the challenge, but then Bob talked about the current theory test. This was unfamiliar ground for most members, as they passed their driving test long before the theory test was ever thought about. Bob also explained how hazard testing and vehicle safety questions form part of the modern driving test, and although it appears to be a very comprehensive test of skill, Bob explained that the driving test was continuously evolving.
Bob Gray was thanked for his confident presentation about learning to drive today, the meeting felt that our learners were in great hands.
