An APPEAL by the Scottish SPCA in Aberdeenshire for a home for a deaf dog has been successful.
The animal welfare charity had been looking after Lewis, an eleven month old Staffordshire bull terrier, at its rescue and rehoming centre near Banchory.
Staff at the facility in Drumoak made a plea to animal lovers in the North-east to provide a home for Lewis, who was born deaf, and received around 40 inquiries.
The centre’s assistant manager Debbie Innes said: “We are delighted that Lewis has found a home so quickly. He has gone to a family from Inverbervie who fell in love with him. They came back to see him a couple of times and decided to take him.
“He left us on Friday the 13th, but it was certainly a lucky day for Lewis. We wish him well in his new home.”
