Logie Durno Village Hall is 75 years old and is celebrating to mark the occasion, jointly with a Family Quiz Night.
The anniversary will be commemorated on Friday, September 28 at 7.30pm. Doors open at 7pm and tickets for the quiz night can be purchased on the night at the door. Tickets cost £12 for a team of up to six.
Dennis Robertson MSP will be present to mark the occasion and will be greeted by the piper for the evening, Alan Gullan.
Anne Mansfield, a local lady, has been collecting old photographs and stories about the hall from the villagers and has discovered many surprises along the way, including the discovery that a local Beauty pageant was held at the hall?
Anne has photos of the lovely ladies in question and will be displaying her collection in the meeting room on the evening. The display will then be left up for a week, so visitors to the Community Cafe can also take a look.
Children from the Playgroup will be making birthday cards to wish tto congratulate the hall, and these will also be on display.
The Quiz Night is always popular and there will be games, music and a raffle. There will also be there will be a licenced bar on the night.
