Meldrum Rotary Club are preparing for its annual Easter Egg Hunt at Haddo this weekend - and members are hoping that this year’s event will be the best yet.

Taking place this Sunday, April 20, at Haddo Country Park from 10am to 3pm, the egg hunt has became a firm favourite among families across the North-east.

Hidden among the footpaths and under the trees will be countless painted eggs for children to find.

Youngsters can keep their found eggs, however they can also be swapped for chocolate ones at the reception tent.

Rotary member and organiser, Owen Ball said: “The Haddo Egg Hunt is one of the highlights of our year.

“We always receive tremendous support from everyone associated with Haddo to put on the event, and it’s always a pleasure to put on an event which people from all over the North-east seem to enjoy so much.”

As well as the hunt, visitors can also take part in the egg rolling competition.

Youngsters can have a go at rolling, or throwing their eggs down the hill, with the winner receiving a chocolate egg.

There will be a wide range of categories for children of different ages to compete in.

Entry and parking is free for the egg hunt, but donations are very welcome to help cover event costs, with any surplus supporting Rotary charities at home and overseas.
