A new project at an Aberdeenshire care home is boosting the residents’ quality of life.
A room in Balmedie House has been converted with a woodland theme.
The Sensory Room provides a tranquil atmosphere with soothing background sounds of singing birds and a waterfall feature. Balmedie House has 31 residents, many with dementia, and the project involved occupants, families and staff.
Home manager Ann Reid said the facility provides valuable quality time for the residents.
