The wraps were officially taken off the new sign for the Victoria Hall in Ellon on Saturday.
It was designed by Robert Gordon University student Shirin Karbor after management committee members decided the hall needed to be more visible.
Shirin attended the unveiling and also present were hall committee and Ellon Rotary representatives.
RGU was asked to offer students the opportunity to design a logo and a new sign to students as a design competition.
Two students forwarded their individual themes and following presentations, Shirin Karbor’s ‘silhouette’ theme was selected.
New logos, a design guide and sign design were produced.
The sign was funded from donations from Ellon Rotary and Rotary volunteers assisted with the installation.
A hall committee spokesperson said: “The location of the Victoria Hall was not very apparent and the existing inset lettering on the main wall is not easily seen from the road
“There are folk in Ellon who are still unaware of its location hence the decision to look at installing a new sign which was easily visible by passers by.
“There was a corresponding need for a new and more modern looking logo and identity.”
Shirin was presented with a token award of £100 on Saturday together with a letter from the Chair of the Management Committee which had the new logo design as the letter head.
