Keith Marley and Pauline Martin were contacted by Logie Country House, Pitcaple, Inverurie, asking if they would like to make use of a free weekend in February next year.

The couple - who have been engaged for eight years - presumed that they could use one of the rooms at the venue - but soon realised that they had been offered the entire estate for the weekend to use how they wanted.

North East Wildlife & Animal Rescue Centre (The New Arc) directors Keith and Pauline rescued a baby fawn - named Kayleigh - from the estate around two years ago.

In a bid to give something back Logie Country House directors, Tim and Stephanie Erbe, invited the couple to make use of the venue
next year.

Keith Marley told the Times: “We thought we were being invited to use one of the rooms but when we found out it was the whole place we thought ‘oh my god’ - it was an absolute shocker.

“We will have 15 rooms, the bar, the ballroom - we would like to thank the couple for their generosity.

“We have been engaged for eight years and just never had the time - we thought we would get married in a registry office, in a marquee or in a field with ducks and cats!”

Logie House director Stef Erbe added: “Keith and Pauline are wonderful people who do such good and important work. Over the last couple of years, we have had quite a few animals in need of help at Logie and The New Arc has always been very willing to help.

“Tim and I have been so blessed and we feel it’s important to give back. Keith and Pauline are selfless, hard-working people who deserve good things.

“We’re so pleased they accepted our offer. They have been engaged for several years now so it will be a long-awaited wedding with a full weekend of celebrating!”

Around 100 people will attend the wedding with some guests staying over
the weekend.
