Local MSP Gillian Martin this week completed a tour of libraries in her constituency.
Over three days she held hour long surgeries at each of the 10 libraries in the constituency of Aberdeenshire East.
The tour began with Turriff, Strichen, New Pitsligo and Mintlaw on Friday August 19th.
It then covered Ellon, Balmedie and Cruden Bay on Monday 22nd before concluding on Tuesday 23rd with Inverurie, Oldmeldrum and Newmachar.
Ms Martin was delighted to be able to use time while parliament is in recess to offer constituents the opportunity to raise concerns and issues with her, and at the same time highlight the resources local libraries provide.
Ms Martin said: “An essential part of the job of a constituency MSP is making yourself available to the people you serve.
“This surgery tour has been a fantastic way to get around the large area I represent and make it as easy as possible to people to get an appointment with me.
“It was also great to be able to highlight the job that local libraries do for their communities. As well as providing access to vast catalogue of books they are a brilliant space for community groups to meet.”
