Police are appealing to the public for information regarding missing man James Leask, 30, from the Aberdeen area.

James was last seen during the evening of Sunday, November, 27, in Inverurie, at the Co-Op on Burghmuir Drive.

Inspector Sheila McDerment said: "As time goes on, we are increasingly concerned for the welfare of James and we are asking anyone who has seen him or who may have information as to where he may be to contact us as a matter of urgency.

"We would also like to reassure James that he is not in trouble but we just want to confirm he is ok. We would ask James if he sees this to get in touch with us on 101 as soon as he can."

James is described as 5"7, with short mousy brown hair, large build, and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with black motif, blue waterproof jacket with white stripes, navy Adidas tracksuit bottoms, and blue trainers with white stripes, although he may have other clothes with him. He also walks with a slight limp.

James previously lived in the Banff and Huntly areas and may not be aware that there is concern for him.

Police are appealing for anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to please contact 101, or for any of his friends who have contact with him to make him aware that Police wish to speak with him to confirm he is safe and well.
