Garioch Care Home in Inverurie celebrated the magic of storytelling and held an enchanted day full of tall tales, fiction and fantasy last month.
Youngsters from Les Enfants attended the care home on Wednesday, February 21.
The children dressed up in fairy tale outfits to share their favourite stories with residents.
Traditional storyteller Pauline Cordiner, who is a member of The Grampian Association of Storytellers, also attended the care home to tell some fantastic tales, ably assisted by her puppet friend, Fizzy the Fairy.
Pauline enjoys telling stories to groups of all ages and loves to encourage interaction with the audience and bring them into the storytelling experience.
The children and residents paired up to write their own pieces of a story that were put together and created one big Garioch story.
The story featured everything from butterflies to trains, castles to tractors and there was also a Queen.
Nurse Wendy Ignatiuk said: “It was a magical day and we all had a wonderful time listening to Pauline bringing some favourite stories to life so beautifully and reminiscing about books that had caught our imagination in our childhood.
“From favourite fables to our own made-up creations, it was joyous to see the young and not so young join together to enjoy sharing stories with each other.”
