Ellon residents have welcomed dropped kerbs which have been installed at the top end of the library car park.
Local Councillor Gillain Owen said she had been asked by people if there was any chance of having the kerbs in that location.
She said: “Some local people were finding it difficult to negotiate the kerbs, particularly those in wheelchairs and those using mobility scooters.
“I asked council officers to take a look and see what could be done.”
She added: “The works have now been complete and all who had problems should find that they can move more easily around the library car park because of the drop kerbs.
“I would like to thank all those who helped achieve this simple, but much-needed change.”
