Inverurie Loco Works held their inaugural Golf Day at Inverurie Golf Club last week and had a field of 20 teams competing in a shotgun start in fantastic weather.
Many of the Clubs Sponsors entered teams along side the main sponsors of the event GPH Builders Merchants and included ex Scotland boss Craig Brown in the team from AFCCT.
The winners on the day were the team from Scotframe represented by Locos Captain Neil Mclean and on form striker Neil Gauld along with Martin Cobban and Peter Barron with a gross 55.
Locos Chairman Mike Macaulay said “ I have to thank our committee members Barry Gibb and Billy Thomson who along with Darren Egie and Trevor Mutch have helped pull everything together to create this successful day which we hope to make an annual event.”
Grant Shewan of sponsors GPH carried out the prize giving duties including a special prize for a Hole-in-one achieved by Barry McCulloch of the Aberdeen Airparks team .
Grant said: “ It was an excellent day of golf.
“There were some low scores and the course was in very good condition.”
