Locos co-manager Kenny Coull welcomes Colin Charlesworth to the Locos

Inverurie Locos Works FC are delighted to confirm the arrival of Colin Charlesworth on a four year deal from Deveronvale.

Commenting on the exciting signing, Scott Buchan said “We are absolutely delighted to bring in Colin Charlesworth to Inverurie Locos. Coco is a player who has given us problems in the past with his direct style of play, pace and trickery and indeed scored a fantastic goal against us last season at Harlaw.

“Coco has been on our radar for some time and it became apparent over the summer that he was also wanted by a number of other Highland League clubs too. We decided to make a move for him and despite the fact that Deveronvale, understandably were desperate to keep him, changes for Coco in his personal life, including the new arrival of his son Alfie, along with moving to Inverurie and working in Aberdeen, meant that Vale recognised this was a move needed for personal reasons. “Once we were given permission to talk to Coco we were delighted to see his willingness and enthusiasm to move to Harlaw Park and from there things were concluded very swiftly. Having just turned 24 Coco’s best years are ahead of him and his style of play will fit in perfectly with how we want to shape up this season and he just adds more quality to what is an exciting young group of players this season at Locos”.

“Congratulations from all at Inverurie Locos to Colin and his partner Naomi on the birth of their son. Alfie Charlesworth was born on Wednesday (June 24).”
