Colony Park weekend round-up

Colony Locos faced East End at Aultoun with a strong wind making conditions difficult.

East End took the lead before McCABE equalised for Colony. On the half hour WOODGREAVES gave Colony the lead. East End hit back before SIMPSON converted a penalty after Walls was pulled down in the box. Colony were unable to extend their league and two late East End goals gave them victory that was harsh on the Colony side.

Colony Park U17s face Byron United in a tough league match.

RENNIE gave Colony the lead, but it lasted only five minutes before Byron equalised then went ahead from the penalty spot. DONALDSON gave Colony a deserved equaliser and scored again just before half time to make it 3-2. Colony pressed for another but were hit with a sucker pumch with a few minutes left as Byron equalised from a free kick.

Colony Park U15s took on Cu8lter Colts on the 2G pitch at Kaimhill.

Culter went one-up after only three minutes, but BEATTIE equalised. Just before the have the referee adjudged Colony keeper Jones to have handled just on the edge of the box, awarding a penalty and red card. 10 man Colony dominated the second half but found themselves 3-1 down, before HINKS pulled a goal back, but Colony couldn’t find the equaliser they deserved.

Colony U15 Colts faced new boys South End.

Colony took the lead through McLEOD from the penalty spot and CLARK extended it. South End hit two to level the match at the half, before Colts fell away in the second, conceding a further six goals.

Newly promoted Cove BC were visitors against Colony Park U14s, and took the lead after only 40 seconds. McWATT equalised in an evenly contested first half, and Colony took the lead through FRASER.

Again Cove came back to level at 2-2, but substitute ROBERTSON restored the lead with his first touch of the match. Cove piled on the pressure late on, but Colony held on for the victory.

Colony Colts U14s faced Kingseat (formerly Newmachar FC) and found themselves four goals down at half-time. The Colts pressed hard in the second half, but Kingseat added a fifth, before WEBSTER got the Colony side off the mark. However Kingseat recovered and added two more before the end.

Colony Park U13s hosted Banks Of Dee Albion and went down 6-1.

Colony Colts U13s lost 11-1 away to Glentanar with RIACH getting Colony’s consolation goal.
