Formartine United eased into the second round of the Scottish Cup with a 3-1 home win over Gretna on Saturday.
The sides were level at the interval but United then stepped it up and there was no way back for the visitors after Casey was ordered off.
Formartine manager Kris Hunter was happy to be in the next round but disappointed to lose a goal.
The home side took the lead in the 12th minute through a fine Scott Barbour strike and they held that advantage until three minutes from half time.
Dean Smith levelled the tie with a close range effort.
United regained the lead on the hour mark with a strong header from Johnny Crawford and Garry Wood made the game safe from the penalty spot.
Any hopes Gretna had of getting back into the tie vanished when Connor Casey was show a straight red card.
Formartine are in action on Saturday when they travel to Clachnacuddin in the league.
