Ellon United have revived a link with a local business in a sponsorship deal which will provide strips and tracksuits for the Meadows-based junior football club, writes Jack Nixon.
The move has been welcomed by club president Billy Gordon who said: “I am delighted to say the club and local company Duotool are back together after a gap of 11 years.
“Duotool were one of our first big backers away back in 2004 when the then chief executive Nick Child gave us a major leg up in the junior game.
“I am pleased that his son James, a director in the company is demonstrating his commitment to his local football team.”
Mr Child recently handed over the tracksuits to the club when he said: “I am more than happy to be able to show my support for my local football team. I just hope it goes some way to enabling them to progress in the Superleague this season.”
United will have the opportunity to celebrate the deal agreed with Duotool on Saturday, November 28, at a gig in the Station Hotel when the Bloody Marys will entertain the club and its friends.
The event will be open to the public and tickets priced £15 can be obtained be obtained from Ellon United committee members or the Station Hotel.
