AHEAD of the home defeat by Formartine United, Inverurie Loco Works FC confirmed that they agreed to place their former Brora Rangers goalkeeper Daniel Bell on the transfer list, the player having turned out in the autumn for Deveronvale in an emergency situation.
Releasing the joint statement co managers Kenny Coull and Scott Buchan said of the decision and other player personnel matters at the Harlaw Park club:
“Daniel is at the stage of his career where he feels that playing regular football is now his number one priority. As managers we have tried to be honest as possible with Daniel and the fact that Andy Reid has just signed an extension to his contract, Daniel feels the time is right to move.
“Daniel’s commitment to ILWFC and his training since the return of Andy Reid to the club has been exceptional and will be an asset to any future team that he goes to. We had two high quality keepers, Daniel and Stewart Gray fighting it out to be the one competing with Andy for the number one jersey.
“Over the New Year period, there will likely be some small changes within the squad. Defender Ally Graham has agreed to another month loan period with Maud. It is clear his initial period here has been good for Ally, even though there has still been a shortage of games. He is beginning to look physically in better shape and his fitness has improved.
“Fellow defender Greg Watson is still with Rothes and his loan period is coming to an end so a decision will be made very soon.
“John Maitland is returning to fitness after a niggling injury so this is a great boost to the squad going into the New Year.
“Striker Jack Strachan has agreed a new deal. He has been struggling with the flu over the last couple of weeks. Jack has the potential to be a successful SHFL player, however he knows what we expect from him and he knows himself what he has to do to move his game onto the next level. We look forward to him doing this in the very near future.”
