The stop start nature of the match, allied to somewhat wasteful final passes and crosses from both sides won’t see this one filed in the classic envelope, but nonetheless there was no lack of effort from any of the players in front of a good gate.
Easily conceded possession saw Wick break and a deflected through ball fell for MacAdie who finished well low down to Mathieson’s right. 14 mins - 1-0 to Wick.
Souter was yellowed on nineteen minutes.

By this point Mackay and Jeffrey had also been cautioned and with the referee’s whistle repeatedly being heard there was a sense that the chance of all the players seeing full time was quite remote.
As the match entered stoppage time Souter was deemed to be deserving of another yellow & was dismissed.
A draw at Wick is never a disaster but the lads were understandably frustrated at the game’s close.
