Inverure Locoworks will put their faith in youth next season with the addition of four promising teenagers to the first team squad.

Locos first of four new signings with an emphasis on youth was Kyle Gordon.

19 year old Kyle has been a Colony Park Juvenile player since the age of seven and last year featured for Colony Park Juniors in the team which won promotion to the super league.

Kyle , a regular goalscorer, will be added to the forward line at locos .

Kyle made his debut in the recent pre-season friendly match against Forfar Athletic picking up an injury which kept him out of the squad to face the Dons on Saturday.

The other new signings were Liam Morrison, Morgan Cook and Lewis Wilson (pictured above with Locos Committee stalwarts Barry Gibb and Eddie Innes).

All three teenagers have SPL connections with Morgan Cook previously featuring for StJohnstone and Liam and Lewis recently released by the Dons.

Morgan played the ninety minutes on Saturday against a Dons X1 and won man of the match with an accomplished performance.

Liam and Lewis made second half appearances against both Forfar and the Dons and their performances will have been encouraging for the management team looking to rebuild after some summer departures.

Meanwhile, Locos learned there opponents for the first round of the Aberdeenshire Cup last week when the draw was held at Harlaw Park.

Local rivals Formartine United will be the opponents for the first competitive game of the new season.

The match will take place at Harlaw Park next Wednesday, July 27.
