The Harlaw Park side eventually got the opening goal in 23 minutes, with the trialist Fort William goalkeeper ineffective in his attempts to save a weak Jordan LEYDEN effort.

John MAITLAND’S headed goal made it 2-0 in the 56th minute and also scoring with a header on the hour mark was Gordon FORSYTH, his second goal of the season.

Substitute Joe McCABE completed the scoring in the 75th minute and now leads the way in the Locos scoring charts with three this season so far.

After the match Locos co boss Kenny Coull said: “We did have a few chances before we opened the scoring but it was unfortunate for their goalkeeper when he let the ball slip through his hands. We went on to kick on from there by scoring three good goals.”

This Saturday Locos will have to be at their very best to beat neighbours Turriff United who finished a close second to Brora Rangers last season and have again started in excellent form. Kick off at Harlaw Park is at 3pm.
