IT has been very mixed weather yet again this week at Loch Insch Fishery, and the anglers choice of flies has been tested to the full.
K. Anderson from Inverurie found the right lures, in Bloodworms and Blobs to tempt 13 fish, keeping two for 9lbs 4oz. Bill Morrison and Ron Davies from Inverness returned 13 rainbows between them, the latter keeping two for 8 1/2 lbs taken on a WSW.
Willie Grant from Alford returned four lovely fish for approximately 17lbs also taken on a WSW.
Symon Byrne from Huntly, kept three for 9lbs which all fell to a CDC shuttlecock. Stuart Hepburn from Kemnay, and C. Sturton from Insch kept three fish each for 8 1/2lbs caught on various flies.
D. Neilson from Killin, kept two rainbows for 6 1/2lbs, after loosing a fish of around the 8lb mark, all of which fell to a home tied Smuddler.
