Tricky conditions a test at Loch Insch

THE continued wet and varying temperatures experienced at Loch Insch Fishery have been making tactics important to find those elusive trout.

However Rab Bell from Dumfrieshire didn’t find it a struggle and enjoyed another weeks great fishing here at Loch Insch Fishery. His total of 27 rainbows, landed over four five-hour sessions, were carefully returned, after falling to his home tied Damsel Nymphs.

S.Wright from Aberdeen returned 10, keeping two fish for 8lbs 12oz, taken on a Cats Whisker and Bunny Leech. K. Robertson from Buckie, returned eight fish which fell to Diawl Bachs and a Red Hotty.

D. Gault from Aberdeen kept a nice 5lb rainbow from his bag of five, landed using Nymphs and Lures.

John Junor from Cruden Bay returned four which fell to a Daddy Longlegs, and Andrew McDougall returned two after keeping a brace for 6 3/4lbs, taken on a Pheasant Tail Nymph.
