‘Try Rugby’ with Garioch Rugby Club

Garioch Rugby Club and Royal Bank of Scotland have teamed up to support Rugby Force.

The aim of the Rugby Force scheme is to bring local clubs and their communities closer together as well as encouraging local clubs to improve their facilities.

Garioch Rugby Club are holding their Rugby Force day on Saturday, August 9, and will be holding a “try rugby” afternoon followed by a Barbecue at their clubhouse in Kellands Park, Inverurie.

The afternoon kicks-off at 3pm and is open to potential players, male and female, aged 12 to 17 years as well as over 18 ladies and gents. All levels of experience are welcome from the player returning from a few years out of the sport to the first timer who wants to give rugby a try.

Garioch Rugby Club serves Inverurie, Oldmeldrum, Kemnay, and Kintore and is ideally positioned to serve rural Aberdeenshire – particularly the Garioch. Their facilities include two full size pitches, a full suite of changing rooms, floodlit training area as well as a popular clubhouse.

The Garioch club has a number of teams ranging from their Primary 1 “minis”, a highly successful ladies teams who play in the BT Woman’s National League Division 2 to their First 15 team who currently play in BT Caledonia League Division 2 North.
