Udny Tennis Club walked away with awards after attending a ceilidh at the end of the season.
The Buchan Tennis League incorporates clubs from Ellon and Oldmeldrum to Peterhead and Cullen and in addition to the summer league, there are various tournaments and competitions across the summer months. ]
The end of the season is marked by a ceilidh, hosted by each of the member clubs in turn and last Friday saw the Longside club bring down the curtain on another very successful season.
During the mid-evening interval in the dancing to music by the excellent Longside Ceilidh Band, there was a short awards ceremony.
Udny Tennis Club from Pitmedden had a strong turnout at the ceilidh and, having enjoyed their strongest performance in the Buchan Tennis League in recent history, picked up one cup, one shield, four medals and seven certificates. Although the curtain has come down on the Buchan Tennis League, Udny Tennis Club’s two floodlit all-weather courts are in constant use all year round.
