Haddo Children’s Theatre is gearing up for its performance of Tin Pan Ali later this month.

The production is a modern musical interpretation of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves set in the backstreets of Chicago.

The performance will take place at Haddo House Hall on Thursday and Friday, March 19 and 20, at 7pm, and on Saturday and Sunday, March 21 and 22, at 2.30pm.

Children’s Theatre director Julie Hutton said: “There will be a live band playing 1920s/30s music to accompany the children’s performance which promises to be vibrant and fun.”

Music for the production is by David Nield and the book and lyrics by Jeremy James Taylor.

Tickets are £10 for adults and are available from Haddo NTS Shop, Watsons of Inverurie, Formartine’s, J&K Shoes, Ellon, Duthie of Tarves, members of the cast and Denise Wechsler (07786243676) after 5pm.

There will be a discount for group bookings of more than eight people on Thursday and Friday evenings.
