Children across Inverurie are invited to take part in a truly heroic fundraising reading event during the summer holidays.
Shoe retailer Brantano will be sparking imaginations and providing page turning adventure when it hosts a story-telling day and those going along are encouraged to dress up as their favourite superheroes.
Money raised will go to Macmillan Cancer Support, the company’s chosen charity for the year.
Karen Staton of Brantano said: “We are delighted to be running this story-telling day, and we hope lots of children turn out dressed like their favourite superheroes.
“It should be great fun for everyone and will hopefully raise lots of money for a very worthy cause.”
It will take place on Wednesday, July 27 from 11am until 3pm at the Inverurie Retail Park store.
So far Brantano has raised more than £7,000 for the charity through a number of fundraising events nationwide.
It is hoped the final figure will stand at £40,000.
