Musical, Barnum, to appear in Aberdeen

The smash hit production of the musical Barnum, starring Brian Conley in the title role of the master showman himself PT Barnum will be staged at His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen this autumn, as part of a national tour of the Cameron Mackintosh and Chichester Festival Theatre production.

The stunning stage show includes musical theatre with circus spectacle, jugglers, trapeze artists and clowns.

It will run for a week at His Majesty’s Theatre for a week from Tuesday, November 18.

The production became one of the most successful musicals in the 51-year history of Chichester Festival Theatre with a record box office attendance of nearly 70,000 people.

One of the UK’s most versatile actors and performers, Brian Conley recently saw huge success as Fagin in the national tour of Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Oliver!

His recent West End stage credits include Edna Turnblad in Hairspray at the Shaftesbury Theatre, Caractacus Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium.
