ST ANNE’S Church, Kemnay are introducing a brand new “green initiative” this summer, called “Exchange or Buy”.
Every Monday morning, starting from June 11 and running until the end of September, the Church will play host to growers of local produce giving local members of the community a chance to “Exchange or Buy”.
It will be the perfect opportunity for those who find they have grown too much fruit and vegetables in the summer months, or those who just want to buy healthy home-grown local produce, to come along to St Anne’s Church on Kendal Road, Kemnay every Monday from 10am to 12 noon.
The initiative will not be limited to fruit and veg alone, participants will be welcome to bring along other home produce such as jams and preserves, pickles, home bakes, fresh eggs, plants or flowers.
To book a small table at the “Exchange or Buy”, at no charge, contact (01467) 642961, then come along and either exchange produce with other growers or sell it to visitors who have come to purchase fresh, local grown produce.
Admission will be free and there will also be tea and coffee available for a small charge. As well as promoting local produce and healthy eating it will also be an opportunity to meet friends or make new ones.
Why not come along and give this new initiative a try.
