Haddo House & Country Park is opening its doors to amateur photographers wanting to try something different and improve their skills.
Three different photography workshops with regular workshop leader Cain Scrimgeour will be held on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 October.
Saturday will start with a Wildlife Photography Skills workshop, learning about field craft, wildlife hides and then going out to take photos.
The second workshop gives the chance to spend a couple of hours on Saturday night working with Halloween Magic lighting.
Photographers will get the chance to practice night time shots, starscapes and other long exposure techniques, before getting creative with a range of moveable multi-coloured lights set up in the trees and around the listed buildings and monuments in the park.
This year there’s also a brand new workshop on Sunday morning showing photographers how to use design software to enhance and improve their photos- making even mediocre shots into something spectacular.
Haddo Visitor Officer Diana Spencer said: “The new digital processing workshop is something we’ve never offered before – and never seen offered anywhere else in the north east so it’s really unique.”
The workshops are led by Cain Scrimgeour and are informal, collaborative and suitable for all abilities from beginners to experienced photographers.
