Chart-toppers The Script are heading to Aberdeen in the New Year.
They will be appearing at the GE Oil & Gas Arena on Saturday, February 21.
The Irish band, fronted by singer Danny O’Donaghue, have played at the venue twice before - in 2011 and 2013 - and are set to return as part of their 2015 Tour.
The announcement comes hot on the heels of the release of the band’s latest album ‘No Sound Without Silence’.
Support on the night will be from Labrinth, who last played the GE Oil & Gas Arena in February, 2013, when he supported Plan B on his UK Tour.
Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s managing director commented: “This announcement is great news for music fans in the North-east.
“The Script are always a popular act in the region and we look forward to the line-up over the winter, which also sees Aberdeen welcoming Peter Gabriel who plays the GE Oil & Gas Arena in December.”
The Dublin band formed in 2001 and have enjoyed consistent chart success.
Frontman Danny was a coach on The Voice UK for seasons 1 and 2, before leaving the show in order to focus on the group.
Tickets for the show are on general sale from tomorrow (Friday) at 9am from Ticketmaster on 08444 77 9000, or online at www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
