Mental Health Aberdeen (MHA) is hosting a creative workshop to allow people to find out more about volunteering opportunities.
The charity is on the lookout for helpers at its Comraich community support service in Inverurie, which provides support, assistance and encouragement through creative outlets for people who are experiencing or recovering from mental ill-health.
Those interested in finding out more are invited to come along to the informal Distress Ink workshop from 9.45am to noon on Friday, May 6 and find out more about volunteering.
Aileen Thomson, MHA’s project manager for Comraich, said: We are currently looking for new volunteers who could work with our client group with a view to improving their skills and building their confidence and self-esteem.
“It is a very rewarding role to take on, and one that really can transform lives as we try to make a difference to a person’s wellbeing through creativity.”
Booking for the volunteer welcome and workshop is required.
